Who are we?
The Rusty Inter. is a small Australian online store which celebrates the iconic story of International Trucks in Australia.
From the company's manufacturing roots, commencing in Geelong, Melbourne in 1952., International were the first truck company to commence manufacturing operations in Australia.
The Rusty Inter. pays homage to this proud history by offering a range of merchandise to enthusiasts keen to display their love of the brand.
Our Story
Hey, I'm Warren (or Waz to my mates).
I'm the founder of The Rusty Inter.
My connection with International Trucks dates back to the late eighties when this skinny, Mullet- sporting young lad landed an apprenticeship as a heavy vehicle mechanic, at International Trucks in Lidcombe NSW.
Over the years I have also had the pleasure of driving a few Internationals in my role as a truck driver.
In recent years my attraction back to this once great brand has been re-kindled by purchasing and restoring a couple of old classics.
As an added interest (and let's face it, some extra income my wife doesn't know about) i have developed "The Rusty Inter." so that fellow enthusiasts can purchase merchandise to compliment their much- loved Inters.
